Welcome to my portfolio site. I am a junior software developer, aspiring UI/UX designer, and lover of dogs. Here is a little bit about me and how I began exploring web and software development.
I graduated from Miami University of Ohio in May of 2014 with my Bachelor's in Music Education. After a few years of teaching and working in child care, I decided I was ready to make a change. I began researching career options in tech and design. My research on careers eventually led me to wonder about coding, and if I could ever learn to do it. I started taking online classes and practicing on my own. After a couple months - I couldn't get enough! In April 2017, I enrolled in the 6 month full-time software development program at Nashville Software School. The skills I am learning here and the projects I am working on can be found below or on my Github profile.
A web application designed to track Vocal Function progress, a type of voice therapy. Using a stopwatch and audio feature, the app collects data after a user completes an exercise and sends it to Firebase. The app then organizes a chronological list of completed exercise data and displays it to the user. A user can then delete or export the list in a PDF format.
A web application resource that enables users to find photo inspiration for home design and connect with contractors in their area. Users create an account to save their favorite photos to boards. The app displays relevant contractor profiles based on tags associated with the images that are saved on the user's boards. Users can also connect with contractors by filtering the service they need.
